Our Confidentiality Policy

Visits within our office are HIPAA compliant, ensuring that treatment, as well as any consultations remain confidential between you and Glendale Mental Health.

California state law protects the relationship between a patient and a psychiatrist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission. However, there are exceptions.

Exceptions include the following situations:

• Suspected cases of child abuse or dependent adult/elder abuse.
• Patients intending to harm self.
• Patients threatening serious harm to others.
